About Us
Founded in 1877, J.A. Oldfield and Son has been proudly serving farmers in Morgan and surrounding counties for over 145 years, through multiple generations of family ownership.
Originally a rural general store, J.A. Oldfield and Son provided local families with everything they needed to care for their homes, families, and farms.
When you shop here, you may hear customers referring to "trading" with us. This dates back to a time when farmers exchanged goods and credit, waiting until they could sell crops like tobacco or livestock. Together with our customers, we've weathered wars, depressions, recessions, and booms, all made possible by a customer base built on trust and a dedication to service.
Rooted in the tradition of a family-run general store, we continue to embrace that spirit while adapting to the ever-changing agricultural landscape. We take pride in hearing customers say, "If anyone has it, Oldfield's will," or seeing their smiles when they discover great products at great prices, right here at home. This is what motivates us to keep providing the best service to our community.
